The following scholarship may be filled out by any student that meets the guidelines presented by each individual scholarship. Fill out the scholarship online through the link below. Check which scholarships you are applying for, fill in the blanks provided, and print a copy of your application. You will then take the application to the DHS QUEST Office.
Amarillo College Foundation Scholarship – Application opens Nov. 15- deadline to apply: March 1, 2021
This Scholarship is for students that are planning on attending Amarillo College. If a DHS student wishes to remain QUEST eligible, they must complete and submit this scholarship. The scholarship opens in early November 2020. When you click on the link above, it will ask for your name, birthdate, and AC student ID number.

Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship – Deadline to apply: January 14, 2021
Each year, the Monsanto Fund sponsors scholarships for youth interested in business, communications, education, engineering, science, and technology. This scholarship is administered through the Future Farmers of America. However, FFA membership is NOT required.
FEBRUARY
Rotary Club Scholarship – Deadline to apply: February 5, 2021
Scholarships are based on extra-curricular activities, community service, youth leadership, and academic performance. There will be several scholarships in the amount of $500 each.
Amarillo Area Foundation Scholarship – Deadline to apply: Friday, February 12, 2021, @ NOON
Amarillo Area Foundation offers scholarships to students around the panhandle of Texas. Click on the link above and register as a Scholarship Applicant. The actual scholarship application opens in early December. There will also be videos posted on their site to help guide you through the process.
Our Scholarship Web Application for the 2021-2022 Academic year is now open and available at aaf.spectrumportal.net! Please note that the deadline is February 12, 2021, at 12:00 noon. This is a hard deadline and no applications can be accepted after this time, so it is very important that students complete their applications well before that deadline. Along with their applications, students will need to submit two letters of recommendation, a current resume, their parents 1040, a birth certificate or Legal Permanent Resident card, documentation of Dual Credit courses and ACT/SAT scores if they have been taken, and a seven-semester transcript which includes their grades for Fall 2020. Students can begin collecting this documentation, writing essays, and registering in the Spectrum Portal as well as filling out their basic information in the application while they await their Fall 2020 grades. Remember, they only have to fill out one application to be matched to any of our scholarships for which they qualify. We will have a series of videos available in the next several weeks posted to our website detailing our processes and answering many FAQs, I will send those links out to you as soon as they are available.

Sybil B. Harrington Scholarship – Deadline to apply: February 15, 2021
Two applications are available for students. One application is for students planning to attend Amarillo College and the other is for students planning to attend a Texas four-year university. ​
Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship – Deadline to apply: February 15, 2021
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Latino students, as well as related support services. HSF seeks to give students all the tools they need to apply to college, do well in their course work, graduate, enter a profession, excel, help lead our nation going forward, and mentor the generations to come. Scholarships are based on need and awards range from $500 to $5000. The application will open in January 2021.

Association for Migrant Educators of Texas Scholarship – Deadline to apply: Feb. 15, 2021
Awards
Scholarship amounts are determined by the AMET Scholarship Committee on the basis of background in migrant farm work, financial need, and the academic potential of the youth. A minimum of one scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to college undergraduate students and ten scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded annually to entering freshmen. Scholarship funds are to be used to support the cost of higher education by covering unmet student financial and self-help aid. Scholarships disbursed are not payment for students' services. Scholarship recipients may reapply annually to be considered for an undergraduate award.
Criteria:
Be a graduating high school senior or junior (early graduate)
Must have a current Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for the Migrant Education Program during the student's final year of high school
Must enroll in an accredited educational institution (public or private college, technical or vocational school) in the summer or fall semester following high school graduation
Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Helium Litigation Scholarship – Deadline to apply: February 15, 2021
The Helium Litigation Scholarship offers scholarships to incoming college freshmen for Southwest Kansas and the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. The student must plan to pursue a course of study in an area relating to agriculture, the environment, or energy. Applicant MUST have a minimum ACT composite score of 23 and/or a minimum SAT score of 1130 to apply.

Irish Rose Scholarship Pageant- Deadline to apply is February 28, 2021.
Shamrock is the home of the biggest and best annual St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebration in the great state of Texas. One of the many highlights is our Miss Irish Rose Scholarship Pageant. This year, the new Miss Irish Rose and her court will receive $3,600 in scholarships: Miss Irish Rose - $1,750; 1st Runner Up - $750; 2nd Runner Up - $500; 3rd Runner Up - $250; People’s Choice - $250; and Miss Congeniality - $100. Additionally, the newly crowned Miss Irish Rose will have her registration fee paid into a Miss Texas USA Teen pageant of her choice.
The Miss Irish Rose Scholarship pageant will be held on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20 and is open to young ladies currently enrolled in high school. Contestants may never have been married, be pregnant or have a child. Pageant’s rules, regulations and entry forms are located on our new website at shamrockpageants.com. The SP College Scholarship program was created to help students win scholarships without the hassle of filling out paper applications and writing dozens of essays.
To be eligible for the Scholarship you must be:

Texas Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society Memorial Foundation Asthma Scholarship – Deadline to apply: March 1, 2021
The Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (TAAIS) Memorial Foundation is pleased to announce the 2021 TAAIS Memorial Foundation Asthma Scholarship Award. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2021.

Burke Bell Memorial Scholarship / Capital Farm Credit – Deadline to apply: March 5, 2021
The applicant must list extracurricular activities as well as attach a transcript. The applicant must be ready to conquer the world and have an 80 or above grade point average.
Moore County Farm Bureau Scholarship – Deadline to apply: March 5, 2021
The Moore County Farm Bureau will award one or more $ 1,000.00 scholarships to students graduating from high school in Spring 2019 and entering college or an approved Technical/Trade school in Fall 2019 whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) have been members of Moore County Farm Bureau since at least March 15, 2018.
This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the information requested on this application including but not limited to high school grades/GPA, demonstration of leadership potential through extracurricular activities and work experience, and family financial need.

Amarillo Texas A&M Club Scholarship – Deadline to apply: March 15, 2021

H&H Federal Credit Union - Frank Lewis Memorial Scholarship – Deadline to apply: March 26
An application that requires a student to be a graduating senior from Moore County and have a savings account with H&H FCU in their name by the due date of the application. The application can be completed over the phone. 1(one) Dumas High School student will receive this scholarship if they complete the scholarship requirements. Harwell and Cook Orthodontics Scholarship – Deadline to apply: March 31, 2021 ALL DISD SENIORS
Dr. Harwell and Cook. offer one $1,000 and two $500 scholarships to three high school seniors who achieve both in and out of the classroom. A committee of people from both inside and outside of the office will evaluate each scholarship form submitted. Don’t Mess with Texas Scholarship Contest is now open and offers three scholarships (2-$2000, 1-$6000). Rita Blanca Electric Scholarship – Deadline to apply: April 1, 2021
Students must be enrolled on a full-time basis to be eligible to apply
12 credit hours as an undergraduate, 6 credit hours as a graduate
Students must have a minimum 2.5-grade point average to be eligible to apply.
Scholarships are available for attendance at accredited state-supported universities, private universities, junior colleges, or vocational schools.
Seven scholarships will be awarded for $2,000 each, payable at $1,000 per semester

Moore County A&M Club Scholarship – Collier and Bobby Phillips Memorial Scholarship – Deadline to apply: April 9, 2021
Open to any senior planning to attend Texas A&M University and graduating from a Moore County school.
Each year the Moore County A&M Club Foundation presents the Collier and Bobby Phillips Memorial Scholarship to outstanding students graduating from Moore County high schools. The scholarship is for one year and at least one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded. Primary considerations for the awards include financial hardships, academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities (excluding athletics), reasons (excluding athletics) for wanting to attend Texas A&M University, and financial need.

Sunset Avry Graves Memorial Scholarship – Deadline to apply: April 30, 2021
Applicant must have attended Sunset Elementary for at least 3 years and be a graduating senior of DHS.

The Novotny/Osborne Scholarship – Deadline to apply: May 1, 2021 ALL DISD SENIORS
This scholarship is open to Dumas High School Seniors that are attending a four-year university. The scholarship is worth over $20,000 over four years. Applicants may receive additional scholarships as long as those scholarships are not based on athletic ability and they do not total more than $10000. Must show proof of applying for FAFSA. Applicants must submit paperwork each semester to ensure the grade average of 2.5 is met along with the minimum course load.
Benton Ray Memorial – Deadline to apply May 7, 2021
This scholarship is intended for any athlete, boy or girl may apply. The student must list sports involvement in the application.
City of Cactus/ Cactus Elementary Scholarship – Deadline May 7, 2021
The City of Cactus Mayor, Council, and City Manager have each donated their salary to promote the higher education of Cactus Elementary graduates. The applicant must have completed at least three years at Cactus Elementary School and be a Dumas High School Graduate that plans to continue his or her education at a college or vocational institution. The scholarship is in the amount of $2500.

The Imagine America High School Scholarship is an award-winning scholarship program offered by the Imagine America Foundation. Each year AWN awards scholarships to deserving students from the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. A “student” is not limited to a recent high school graduate. A student may also be any woman who is entering college for the first time or perhaps returning to finish a degree or obtain an advanced degree. Caprock Peace Officers' Association Scholarship – Deadline to apply:
The CPOA considers community, education and fellowship to be a few of the elements we have build our foundation upon. Our purpose is to provide members with access to the highest quality leadership development, training and Continuing Law Enforcement Education opportunities. The CPOA Scholarship fund will continue to award college scholarships to deserving applicants wishing to further their education. CHS Scholars Program – Deadline to apply:
In 2020, CHS and the CHS Foundation will fund nearly 200 scholarships to students enrolled in an agricultural-related program at partnering two- and four-year colleges and universities throughout the United States. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,000.
Student eligibility
A) Students must be entering their sophmore, junior or senior in an agriculture-related degree program.
B) Students pursuing a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field of study with an interest in agriculture, cooperatives or rural America will be considered.
Federation of Insurance Women of Texas Scholarship – Deadline to apply:
The Federation of Insurance Women of Texas offers a two thousand dollar scholarship to a current high school senior or a college student. The money is distributed $1000 in the fall of 2018 and $1000 in the spring of 2019. The college or university that you attend must be in the state of Texas.
Golden Spread Electric Cooperative Scholarship – Deadline to apply: March 1, 2020
Members of the Golden Spread Electric Cooperative and their spouses and children are eligible for this yearly scholarship.
Healthcare Leaders Scholarship – Deadline to apply: June 15, 2020
This scholarship award is sponsored by nurse.org and offered to deserving students accepted or enrolled in medical or healthcare-related programs. To be eligible for the $1000 award, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or above, be pursuing a degree related to healthcare, and submit a 600-1000 word essay.
​J.E. Pietsch Memorial Scholarship – Deadline to apply:
This is a $1,500.00 scholarship for students who are dependent upon any active duty or honorably discharged veteran are eligible for this scholarship. This doesn’t necessarily mean a parent. It does require a copy of some form of identification for the veteran with the form.
Mattress Help Scholarship – Deadline to apply: Sept. 25th of each year
We’re offering a $1,000 scholarship every year to help increase sleep health awareness and offset the costs of higher education. This scholarship is available to eligible HS seniors, current college students, and graduate students.
Moore County Texas Tech Alumni Association Scholarship – Deadline to apply: April 15, 2020
The applicant is required to provide a letter of acceptance to Texas Tech and write a paragraph discussing your high school experience. A second paragraph explaining the reason you chose Texas Tech, as well as other topics, is required. The application must be returned to the QUEST office.
NAFEPA Scholarship Program – Deadline to apply:
The National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators offers this scholarship program to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying seniors or high school graduates attending their first year of college. Two scholarships are for students pursuing a degree in Education. The other two scholarships may be awarded to applications pursuing a degree in Education or any other field. To be eligible, candidates must qualify for Compensatory Education Programs through their school district.

Take Care of Texas Video Contest – Deadline to apply: December 16, 2019
Waste Management sponsors this contest that provides scholarships up to $2500. It’s a fun way to learn about the environment and share that knowledge3 with others. To enter, participants create a 30-second video that shows positive ways to Take Care of Texas like how to keep our air clean, keep our water clean, conserve water, save energy or reduce waste. There are a total if six winners from all over the state.
Texas Telephone Association Foundation Scholarship – Deadline to apply: App not updated
Any student who is graduating from a Texas High School in Spring 2021 who is a U.S. citizen, has a 3.0 GPA or higher, and is planning on attending a Texas college or university in Fall 2021 is eligible to apply.
Texas Department of Transportation Scholarships – Deadline to apply:
The Texas Department of Transportation provides tuition assistance to eligible economically disadvantage students majoring in civil engineering, computer science, management information systems or computer information systems. Student must be a Texas resident attending or planning to enroll in a four-year Texas public college or university.
Texas Engineering Foundation Scholarship – Deadline to apply:
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, a High School Senior with at least a 3.0 GPA, and have school a 29 in math and 25 in English on the ACT. He/she must also enroll in an ABET accredited engineering program.
Texas Nursery & Landscape Association Education and Research Foundation Scholarship – Deadline to apply: December 31, 2020
The applicant must be planning on studying programs related to the nursery and landscape industry. The Foundation Trustees have stressed the importance of having good personal references to accompany the scholarship application form. Completed application with all required attachments must be submitted by December 31st.
Texas Public Health Association- Deadline to apply: July 10, 2020
Awarded to students for the purpose of providing financial aid and encouragement to attend the college of their choice for the purpose of pursuing a degree in the field of public health. The number of scholarships to be awarded as well as the dollar amount of scholarship monies available will be announced after the Association’s Spring Quarterly Meeting.

Any student planning to attend college in Austin, College Station, or Denton, Texas.
The United Methodist General Scholarship – Deadline to apply: Not doing in 2021
Choose if you meet the general requirements but are unsure for which program you qualify. May be awarded to undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral students; must be full active members of the UMC for at least 1 year; have a minimum GPA of 2.5+, and are attending any accredited institution within the U.S. Average award: undergrad $500 - $1,000; graduate $1,000 - $2,000. This scholarship is open from January 3- March 1, 2019.

Ag Texas Farm Credit- Deadline to apply: October 23, 2020, by 4:00 PM
AgTexas Farm Credit is proud to kick off the 6th year of our “AgYouth of the Month” program, where we recognize and honor outstanding SENIORS who are actively involved in 4-H and FFA agriculture programs. In the first 5 years of the program, AgTexas has distributed over $93,000 in scholarships & $39,000 in gift cards to members of FFA and 4-H.

Grow Texas Program Scholarship – Deadline to apply: November 15, 2020
Applicant must be a Texas resident that is a high school senior or returning college student majoring in an agriculture-related field. The mission of the Grow Texas Scholarship Program (GTSP) is to help young Texans develop the skills needed to lead Texas agriculture into the future. Completed application with all required attachments must be submitted by November 15th.
Hagan Scholarship Foundation Scholarship – Deadline to apply: November 15, 2020
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide, need-based, merit scholarship for high-achieving students who will require financial assistance in order to attend college. Three hundred fifty scholarships can be awarded each year.
The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high achieving self-motivated student in need of financial assistance in order to attend college.

The Annual $1500 R3 Stem Cell Scholarship Award Opportunity – Deadline 12/31/2020
In an effort to encourage continuing education and motivation for success, R3 Stem Cell will now make it a regular annual opportunity for one student each year to obtain this $1500 scholarship. If you are a student that is pursuing options for academic assistance and also interested in regenerative medicine and its many potential health applications, this could be a great scholarship option for consideration!
R3 Stem Cell Scholarship Qualifications
– Applicant must be an American citizen and at least 18 years of age.
– Must possess a current grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
– Have documented acceptance at a university, accredited college, or community college, or can show proof of current enrollment at a university, an accredited college, or community college.
– Write a 100% unique essay with a minimum of 1000 words and submit by the December 31, 2020 deadline.
– Meet the R3 Stem Cell Scholarship regulations and follow the submission requirements detailed below.
How to Apply for the R3 Stem Cell Scholarship
In order to apply for the yearly R3 Stem Cell Scholarship, students must first confirm eligibility with the above qualifications. Those that meet these requirements will then need to create a 100% unique essay with a minimum of 1000 words and submit the completed document with enrollment verification no later than 5:00 pm on December 31, 2020. The completed essay should be proofread to ensure there are no grammatical errors, as this is part of the grading process to determine the winner.
Texas Nursery & Landscape Association Education and Research Foundation Scholarship – Deadline to apply: December 31, 2020
The applicant must be planning on studying programs related to the nursery and landscape industry. The Foundation Trustees have stressed the importance of having good personal references to accompany the scholarship application form. Completed application with all required attachments must be submitted by December 31st.
