Community and Student Engagement Ratings
The Texas Education Code (TEC) “Requires all districts and charters to evaluate their own performance, as well as that of each of their campuses, in community and student engagement. Districts must assign—both to themselves and to each of their campuses.” Dumas Independent School District is in compliance with all legislative statutory reporting and policy requirements.
Elementary Counselor Tonie Crawford, LPC, works alongside teachers to meet the needs of their students. Food Menus and My School Bucks
The entire cafeteria staff at each school and the district food service office takes pride in everything we do. Our main concern is taking care of your children. We go above and beyond to make sure each child is taken care of when they come into the cafeteria. We offer online account payment options through My School Bucks.
Ratings, Report Cards, and Performance Reports
Every public school in Texas gets one of two accountability ratings: Met Standard or Improvement Required. Schools receiving the Met Standard rating may qualify for distinctions. The State Report Cards are required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. They provide information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. Links to Federal Report Cards and Texas Academic Performance Reports are also provided.
Parent Resources – Dumas ISD provides a page of resources for parents in order to facilitate any information that pertains to them and their students in school including dress code, food menus, and health services. Links are provided on this page containing documents on the code of conduct, bullying, the student handbook and others.
Student Resources – The student page that Dumas ISD provides list resources for current students including library resources, college resources, the code of conduct, bullying information, acceptable use policies, and the student handbook.
Each grade level has a list of school supplies that the students are needing to bring in the first week of classes. Teachers will notify you if more supplies are needed during the year.
