Ruby Rivero has been selected to represent Dumas High School at the TAFE National Convention in Florida. The convention, organized by the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE), brings together high school students from across the country who are interested in pursuing careers in education. Ruby is one of only 2 students in Texas to advance in her category, making her achievement all the more impressive. She also received a $1000 scholarship!

TAFE is a nonprofit organization that aims to encourage young people to pursue careers in education. It offers a variety of programs and activities, including leadership development, community service, and networking opportunities. TAFE also hosts annual competitions, such as the National Convention, which give students the chance to showcase their skills and compete against their peers.

Ruby being selected to represent her school at the National Convention is a great honor and a testament to her dedication and hard work. It is also a fantastic opportunity for her to learn more about the field of education and to connect with other students who share her passion.

Overall, the TAFE National Convention is an exciting event that brings together high school students who are passionate about education. It offers a unique opportunity for these students to develop their skills, make connections, and compete against their peers. Ruby is sure to make DHS and our community proud as she represents us at this prestigious event.
