There will be a BUS to pick up 5th graders for 5th Camp on Friday at the Old Cactus Elementary leaving at 2:30 PM and they will return students to Cactus about 4:30 PM

MY SCHOOL BUCKS
If you used My School Bucks last year, then you can still use it this year. Before the first day of school, please check your student's account to make sure they have money in their account to start the year without the worry of keeping up with their lunch money.
If you did not use it last year then you can sign up and start using it.

Activate your account and add students. You will need your student's name and school ID number.

Provide your credit or debit card information if you decide to make an online payment.

Report cards will go home Friday, May 22, with VERY IMPORTANT paperwork attached for accessing STAAR scores.

Please ask your student for their report card and keep the attached paperwork in a safe place until June 16! The office does not have access to student unique codes, and the code stays the same throughout your student’s school career.

REPORT CARDS GO HOME

ATTENTION 5th grade Parents,

We will be having our Instrument Drive on Thursday, May 14 from 4:30-6:30 in the Intermediate School Gym. During this time, representatives from Tarpley’s and Music and Arts in Amarillo will be at the Cafeteria to assist your children with getting their instruments and supplies for band class. You can also fill out paperwork to request a school instrument. School instruments are first come, first serve.

Parents will not have to pay the full price of an instrument immediately: both music companies utilize a rent-to-own program to reduce up-front cost of purchasing an instrument.

If your child is playing Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn, Euphonium, or Tuba, they already have a school instrument free of charge. However, they will still need to attend the drive to purchase mouthpieces, reeds, books, and any other needed materials for band.

If needed the band can provide school-owned instruments with the exception of the saxophone and percussion. If your student is playing on a school instrument we still need you to attend the drive to pick up the other supplies we will be using such as mouthpieces/reeds/etc.

The drive will go from 4:30-6:30pm, but it is a come-and-go event; parents and students will not need to remain for the entire duration of the drive.

There will be translators for Spanish speaking families.
