TIP: Have them write their schedules in a notebook paper because schedules get lost and this will give them a backup.

DUMAS ISD IS HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE:

The State of Texas will cover the cost of reduced meals for the 25/26 school year for all students who qualify for reduced-price breakfast and lunch. This means that if your child is approved for reduced-price meals, they will receive breakfast and lunch for free. You will not need to pay $0.30 for breakfast or $0.40 for lunch.
** YOU MUST COMPLETE A SCHOOL MEAL APPLICATION AND QUALIFY FOR REDUCED MEALS TO RECEIVE THIS BENEFIT.

Come enjoy some activities that will introduce you to your new school. Please, drop Students off in the front of the school and return to pick them up at 4:00 PM
This is a time to have FUN!

FREE VACCINES -DSHS Dumas Clinic is having 2 back to school immunization clinics - July 31 & August 7 to get up to date on their immunizations both required for school and recommended. There will be children and adult vaccines available for those who qualify.

Tomorrow THURSDAY is 6th Grade Field Day Student may wear Dumas Demon T-shirts in school colors (white, black, gray or orange). Students may also wear ATHLETIC Shorts that meet the dress code requirement. (To the knees) Students will need water, sunscreen and probably a hat. IF YOU OWE MONEY YOU CAN NOT PARTICIPATE IN FIELD DAY UNTIL IT IS PAID. 5th Grade will have a MOVIE Day and they may bring snacks in the morning. We can not accept any dropped off snacks.

Dear Parents: The Dumas Intermediate Honor choir has been entered to perform at the Greater Southwest Music Festival on Friday, May 2nd. The performance is at the Globe News Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Amarillo. We will perform three songs for three judges, and parents are welcome to come to hear this performance. Students will come to school as normal, eat breakfast, then check in with their 2 nd period teacher for attendance. After they have done so, they will report to the choir room. We will leave the school at 8:30 AM and go to the GNC to warm up, and then perform on stage. We will stay and listen to a few other choirs, including a special performance of the Amarillo College Concert and Jazz Choirs and the Amarillo Master Chorale. This is a great opportunity for the choir to grow through performance and contest. Lunch will be at Mr. Gatti’s. Students may bring money for the game room.
