Next week, we will also be participating in Start With Hello Week, September 21–25. Start With Hello is a national initiative that teaches students how to recognize when someone may feel left out or isolated, reach out to others, and create a more welcoming and connected school community. The program centers around three simple steps: See Someone Alone, Reach Out and Help, and Start With Hello.
Our goal is to remind students that something as simple as saying hello, inviting someone to join a group, or taking a moment to talk with someone can make a meaningful difference. Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to practice kindness, inclusion, empathy, and connection.
These are the skills we will be working on through the week.
Monday - Try to see how many different Languages you can say Hello to someone.
Tuesday - Say Thank you to someone you feel has stood up for you.
Wednesday - Thank a Trusted Adult today.
Thursday - Show Unity by wearing your Team color for the color war.
Friday - Celebrate your classmates and learn more about them.
